  3. Whenever I gained more than a few pounds in the past it was always preceded by me failing to step on the scale for long periods of time.

  4. I weigh myself every Friday morning before breakfast. That way I know whether I need to eat less over the weekend or I can indulge a bit. I used to weight myself every day but there's too much fluctuation. Once a week is a good measure of actual weight and not just water weight.
