  1. My mom used to have Christmas tree ornaments like that when I was growing up. Ah, nostalgia. : )

My favorite Christmas movie is "A Christmas Story" about the little boy named Ralph, and all he wanted for Christmas was a Red Rider BB gun. I love looking at the family's house, their car, the shops that they went to, Ralph's school, the things they ate... Even though it's about the 1940's and the movie came out in the 1980's when I was a kid, I fell in love with it. Things really did seem much simpler back then.

  4. Hey there! We used to have that Christmas tree!!! But you are missing the tri-colored disk that went with it. It was a lighted disk that you placed on the floor in front of the tree and it turned so that the whole tree turned green, then blue, then yellow - it was a HOOT! I can not believe that my very "Jackie Kennedy" mother would have chosen it but she did and we had it for years! Add Ray Conniff's "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" record and you have just about every Christmas of my childhood! What a blast! Just discovered you today. Love your blogs!
