I have NEVER had yellow watermelon! I've seen it at Whole Foods, though. I love regular watermelon but how different is the yellow in taste?
Not very different as far as flavor, at least not the melon I bought. But because it's so fresh, it's very crunchy and super juicy unlike the aging melon I've had from the supermarket that is sometimes mushy. I like the novelty of the color, too. : )
Haha! I'm not sure what to think of the yellow watermelon. It does not compute in my brain as being watermelon. I felt that way when I first saw yellow cherries. It was so weird, but once I tasted them, I could care less what color they were. They were so good!RL
It shows how many of associate color with a certain flavor, myself included. I've been eating orange beets and purple carrots from the market, too. They do taste slightly different, but again a lot of it is because they are truly farm fresh. : )
I realized that it would be good if I directed others to my update, if they are interested. My updates are in this post:http://outdatedbydesign.blogspot.com/2014/10/000.html#comment-formRL
