Rest in Peace, Dear Old Casper, Age 7 Get link Facebook Twitter Pinterest Google+ Email July 21, 2015 I will miss my boy. He passed peacefully in the vet's office over the weekend. Is 7 years typical?ReplyDeleteRepliesAverylJuly 22, 2015 at 4:31 PMThanks, Aileen. Seven years is up in the years for pigs. My experience is that their average lifespan is about 5 years but had another pig pass at 7, and another at 9.DeleteReplyOdetoMrs.KatzCohnAugust 8, 2015 at 4:47 PMAveryl, I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye to Casper. I love the Elvis pic. Was he sick? :(ReplyDeleteRepliesAverylAugust 8, 2015 at 4:54 PMThanks, Sarah. He had three stones, one of which was inoperable. He received loving comfort care and ate whatever he wanted until he was ready to go.DeleteOdetoMrs.KatzCohnAugust 9, 2015 at 4:49 PMAgain, I'm so sorry. Must have been a hard time for you and hubby. I love that you were thinking of him. DeleteDr. JOctober 13, 2015 at 3:57 PMWhen I was a kid my dad would take me to his job at the University sometimes. If I was good, I would get to play with the guinea pigs that they had for research. They are quite gentle. I think the experience also had the effect on me to be against the use of animals for research when I became a doctor. DeleteReplyAileenOctober 13, 2015 at 4:29 PMIt kills me that they are used for research. I don't like it. :(ReplyDeleteAdd commentLoad more...
